UK: Gatwick airport chaos continues with drone hide & seek
2018-12-21
[BBC] Shooting down a drone which has caused chaos at Gatwick Airport is a "tactical option" being considered by police.

The measure had previously been ruled out by Sussex Police, which cited concerns over "stray bullets".

But with the airport expected to remain closed on Friday, Det Ch Supt Jason Tingley said the force would "do what we can to take that drone out of the sky".

The Army has been deployed to assist the police operation.

When will the misery end? Police say 'eco warriors' may be behind London Gatwick airport drone attack as standstill spreads into a THIRD day of axed flights - destroying the Christmas dreams of 350,000 fliers

#4  Also, further reports say that these are not hobbyist sized UAVs but rather Industrial Sized UAVs - this means $20,000 - $50,000 sized object and there have been up to 50 of them at Gatwick. So $2,000,000 -1mil up to +3 mil - invested in this operation. That sounds like a state or sheik funded GoFundMe

#3  Why only "a tactical option"? Just do it?

#2  Or maybe they're controlled by a phone network? Seems easy enough to find and shut down.
