Trump Imposes Pay Freeze on Civilian Feds for 2019
2018-12-29
[Government Executive] After months of speculation, President Trump followed through on a March proposal and instituted a pay freeze for federal civilian employees.

In an executive order issued Friday, Trump confirmed that pay rates would remain stagnant next year for non-military federal workers. The news comes despite statements from the president in September that he would “study” whether to provide feds with a pay raise after all.

By contrast, members of the military services will receive a 2.6 percent raise in 2019.

#4  Additionally, bureaucratic empire building: every agency needed to have affirmative action sections, climate change impact departments, SWAT teams, and the list goes on and on. More and more bureaucrats sucking off of the taxpayers while not advancing their agency's Official Mission™ one iota...
...And all of these parasites needed raises and performance bonuses.

#3  Members of the military service can't quit, its called desertion.

Fed employees, at any time, and service members who's contract has expired can take their 'talent' elsewhere. The former has never been much of a problem, the latter is a never ending systemic problem.
