New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo Pardons 22 Illegals to Prevent Their Deportation

[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Democrat New York Governor Andrew Sonny Cuomo has pardoned 22 illegals to stop them from being deported.

The pardons were mostly for drug possession, but drug dealing, arson and robbery as well.

One of the men Cuomo pardoned set "an acquaintance’s car on fire as an act of mischief," according to the governor’s statement.

Cuomo also used the statement to trash President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
"While President Trump shuts down the federal government over his obsession with keeping immigrants colonists out, New York stands strong in our support for immigrant communities," Governor Cuomo said. "These actions will help keep immigrant families together and take a critical step toward a more just, more fair and more compassionate New York."

The statement explained that the goal was to "remove the barriers that their criminal records present to their immigration status. Some are facing deportation, while others wish to be able to participate in their communities as citizens of the country they call home. In each case, a pardon will make immigration-related relief possible, if not automatic."
For one thing, the guvnor can only pardon New York State crimes, not federal ones, and the records probably don’t actually disappear from their files...
Cuomo additionally commuted the sentences of seven illegal immigrants colonists that are currently imprisoned.

#2  Cuomo could encourage Schumer to get on the stick to build a wall and reform immigration laws in this country rather than try to find ways to jab a thumb in Trump's eye.
