[PennLive] Firefighters in Camp Hill put out a trash fire in a parking lot Wednesday afternoon after the contents of a garbage truck caught fire. Among the debris was a full-size dead cow.
The driver noticed smoke and flames emerging from the back of the truck and pulled over at the Harrisburg Bridge Club at 349 N. 21st Street Wednesday afternoon. Flames were still visible when firefighters arrived.
The truck dumped the flaming contents onto the parking lot so firefighters could extinguish the blaze, said Camp Hill Fire Chief Mark Simpson. That's the standard procedure for putting out a trash truck fire, he said.
"But I've got to say," Simpson said. "Never seen a cow in the trash before."

Woodrow dear, “Dave Barry” does not go in the Source box. The Penn Live URL (www.pennlive.com/news/2019/02/whats-a-dead-cow-doing-in-a-load-of-burning-trash.html) that you thoughtfully attached to a bit of text in the article actually goes in the Source box, so that when our readers click on the headline it will take them to the web page where you found this article. Putting text into the Source box just confuses the internet. |
