Jeopardy's Alex Trebek needs our prayers |
2019-03-07 |
[NBC] Alex Trebek, the longtime "Jeopardy!" host, revealed Wednesday that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Trebek, 78, said in a video posted to YouTube he will attempt to finish out this season of "Jeopardy!" "Just like 50,000 other people in the United States each year, this week, I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer," he said. "Now, normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working, " he said in the video. "And with the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rates statistics for this disease." |

#1 I had an unusual presentation of this disease last June as it was localized and very slow growing. Chemo involved a two drug approach which was very effective. Nothing now. I hope Mr. Trebeck gets the best of care and support and he can beat this. In my case support of family and friends including Rantbergers kept up my morale. A positive mental attitude may or may not be sufficient but it is certainly necessary. |
