Thomas Sowell on Clinton's Alabama Speech (video) |
2019-03-08 |
[FOX] Political scientist Dr. Thomas Sowell said Wednesday that Hillary Clinton spread reportedly false information about voter suppression during a speech in the historically important city of Selma, Ala. Speaking during a reception to mark the 54th anniversary of "Bloody Sunday," Clinton claimed that as many as 80,000 people were refused the right to vote in Wisconsin in the 2016 election. "[They] were turned away from the polls because of the color of their skin, because of their age, because of whatever excuse could be made up to stop a fellow American citizen from voting," Clinton said. The Washington Post gave Clinton four out of four possible "Pinocchios" for the statement, which is called "wrong on multiple levels" and "seriously misleading." "She thinks it'll get her some votes," Sowell said on "The Ingraham Angle" Wednesday. |
