Former CIA Director Brennan Now Comments on Judicial Ruling in Manafort Sentencing Case |
2019-03-08 |
"It’s an extraordinarily lenient sentence in light of the extent and scope of Mr. Manafort’s criminality," Brennan said. "I think this sentence says a lot more about Judge Ellis than it does about Paul Manafort." Judge T.S. Ellis III, a Reagan appointee, handed Manafort, 69, the almost four-year sentence, which was much lower than the 19 1/2 to 24 years suggested by federal guidelines on Thursday. "You’ve been convicted of serious crimes ‐ very serious crimes ‐ by a jury," Ellis said to the court, following Manafort's sentencing hearing, but added "I think that sentencing range is excessive. I don’t think that is warranted in this case." |

#7 It's too bad William Donovan isn't around. I imagine Wild Bill might have had views on how Brennan did his job. |

#5 Brennan, Clapper, Schumer, AOC, Pelosi, and the insufferable Ilhan Omar... all moved into Trump's 'useful idiots' pasture. Let them chirp on. |

#4 Trump is obviously fine with what Brennan is doing, or he would have taken control of the organs and done something about Brennan by now. |

#3 Compared to Brennan’s sentence I think 47 months is quite harsh. |

#2 I hope to live long enough to hear that Brennan died in Super Max solitary. |
