[DAWN] A new biography by a Dutch journalist claims that the United States and its allied government in Kabul were incorrect when they said that Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... founder Mullah Mohammad BlinkyOmar ![]() ... a minor Pashtun commander in the war against the Soviets who made good as leader of the Taliban. As ruler of Afghanistan, he took the title Leader of the Faithful. The imposition of Pashtunkhwa on the nation institutionalized ignorance and brutality in a country already notable for its own fair share of ignorance and brutality. Died of an unspecified ailment in a Pak hospital... had died in Pakistain, as the renowned Taliban leader never visited Pakistain after 2001. |

#1 The ARG Presidential Palace has rejected the claims regarding the hideout of Taliban group founder Mullah Mohammad Omar. “We strongly reject this delusional claim and we see it as an effort to create and build an identity for the Taliban and their foreign backers,” Haroon Chakhansuri, deputy chief of staff of President’s Office said in a Twitter post. Chakhansuri further added “We have sufficient evidence which shows he lived and died in Pakistan. Period!” ...Well then, there ya go. I mean, if you can't trust the Pakistanis... Mike |
