| Deadly clashes continue between Taliban and ISIS-K militants in Kunar |

| [KhaamaPress] Deadly festivities continue between Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... and ISIS Khurasan holy warriors in eastern Kunar province ... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country..... of Afghanistan as the Afghan military confirm that the ongoing festivities have inflicted casualties on both sides. The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East said at least one Taliban holy warrior and nine ISIS Khurasan holy warriors have been killed so far. According to a statement released by 201st Silab Corps, at least 9 ISIS Khurasan holy warriors have also been killed and 14 others have sustained injuries during the festivities. The statement further added that the festivities continue in Chapa Dara district and one Taliban fighter identified as Hezbullah has been killed and another Taliban holy warrior identified as Faqir has sustained injuries. The 201st Silab Corps in another statement said the Afghan armed forces carried out strikes against ISIS Khurasan holy warriors using heavy and light weaponry to protect the lives and properties of local residents. According to 201st Silab Corps, at least 9 ISIS Khurasan holy warriors were killed and 14 others were maimed during the same strikes. The anti-government armed holy warriors including Taliban and ISIS Khurasan holy warriors have not commented regarding the festivities so far. |
