Maxine Waters, D-Calif., demanded her caucus proceed straight to impeaching President Trump on Sunday, questioning the efficacy of some of her colleagues insisting they conduct investigations first."If the Democrats cannot decide that they're going to move with impeachment, I guess they're going to go on with these investigations. How long are they going to go on with them? What more do they need to prove?" the House Financial Services chairwoman said during an interview on MSNBC's "AM Joy."

Waters' call to action received a boost last week after the release of special counsel Robert Mueller's report when Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts publicly supported Rashida Tlaib of Michigan's impeachment resolution, which she introduced in March. Other advocates, including Reps. Al Green of Texas and Brad Sherman of California, who introduced a similar impeachment measure in January, added their voices to the chorus clamoring for Trump's removal from office.
