Ataullah Khogyani, front man for the governor of Nangarhar has confirmed that festivities intensified between Taliban and ISIS Death Eaters in Khogyani and Shirzad district in the past two days, leaving several Death Eaters dead.

He also confirmed that the ISIS Death Eaters have kidnapped several Talibs besides inflicting casualties on them.

According to Khogyani, at least 300 families have been displaced due to the festivities and efforts are underway to provide first aid to them.

In the meantime, officials in Kunar province have confirmed that similar festivities have taken place between Taliban and ISIS Death Eaters in Chapa Dara district, forcing hundreds of families to leave their houses.

Abdul Satar Mirzakwal, the governor of Kunar province has confirmed to RFE’s Afghanistan service that 3000 families have been displaced due to the festivities which still continue between the two sides in Chapa Dara district.
