U.S. Army selects APC9K as sub compact weapon |

[Defense Blog] The Brügger & Thomet semi-automatic carbine APC9 has been selected by the U.S. Army for arm its security soldiers. According to U.S. government business website, the Army selected B&T small arms specialists with their APC9K semi-automatic carbine or submachine gun as the winner of the Sub Compact Weapon programme. The small semi-automatic carbine is chambered in 9mm and variants of the weapon are in use with police units such as Special Weapons and Tactics, or SWAT teams. According to a statement released by Army Contracting Command, B&T to receive an order for manufacture 350 Sub Compact Weapons with an option for additional quantities of up to 1,000 SCWs, with slings, manuals, accessories, and spare parts. |
