| Afghan, coalition forces destroy more than 100,000 kilograms of opium drugs in Farah |

| [KhaamaPress] The Afghan and coalition forces have destroyed more than 100,000 kilograms of opium during an operation which was conducted in western Farah province, the military sources said Sunday. "Afghan National Army Special Forces in a joint operation with Coalition Forces conducted a large scale operation in Bakwah district, Farah province, in which more than 100,000 KGs of opium drugs were detected and destroyed," the sources said. The sources further added "Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... turbans were involved in preparing, supplying, securing, dealing and smuggling of the mentioned drugs." |

| #1 From another report: "The sources also added that Afghan Special Forces conducted a raid in Bakwa district of Farah province and destroyed 300 Kg of heroin and 90,000 pounds of raw products." 300 kg of heroin destroyed is no joke. |
