[CNN] Philippine authorities said three ISIS militants were nabbed in Parañaque City and Rizal province. The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said it arrested Narodin Abolkhair Manalinding and Cairo Gen Manatao Abolkhair in Parañaque on Friday morning for illegal possession of firearms and explosives.Officials sad Manalinding and Abolkhair are from Marawi City, which was besieged by terrorists almost two years ago. Manalinding is said to be a financier and recruiter for ISIS-Daulah Islamiyah Ranao.
Police also arrested another ISIS militant identified as Tagoranao Dimaro Sarip Jr. in Cainta, Rizal just hours after the arrest of Manalinding and Abolkhair. Sarip, who is allegedly the propaganda and member of ISIS’ media cell, was arrested following a search authorized by a Laguna judge.
Authorities confiscated from him a hand grenade, an unregistered pistol and ammunition, and an ISIS flag.
Last month, police arrested two Abu Sayyaf militants in Quezon City and Muntinlupa. The latter was working as a security guard for an office building.
