The 205th Atal Corps in a statement said the Talibs launched a major attack on Daichupan district from various angles.
The statement further added that the security forces killed at least 40 turbans after repelling the attack.
The security forces also killed two senior commanders of Taliban Jamil Talawat and Mawlavi Hebat.
According to Atal Corps, the security forces handed over the bodies of 12 Talibs to local residents.
The anti-government armed turbans including Taliban have not commented regarding the clash so far.
