Terrorist arrested after injuring an army officer in Kabul

[KhaamaPress] The security forces arrested a suspected terrorist who had shot and injured an officer of the Afghan army in Kabul.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the suspected terrorist wounded the army officer in Paghman district.

The statement further added that the suspected terrorist also sustained injuries after clashing with the security forces.

The anti-government armed elements have not commented regarding the incident so far.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior did not disclose further information regarding the detained terrorist. It is not clear to which group the detained terrorist belongs to.

Head Of Boxing Federation Assassinated In Kabul

[ToloNews] The Secretary General of Afghanistan Boxing Federation, Hamidullah Hamidi, was killed in an attack by unknown armed men in Kabul on Sunday morning, a spokesman of the federation, Mujib Qarizada, said.

He said the incident took place when Hamidi was on his way in Police District 5, which covers Khoshal Khan, Kote Sangi and Qargha areas in Kabul.

He said that Hamidi’s body was taken to the forensic medicine department of the Ministry of Public Health for an investigation.

So far, no group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Afghan forces kill 2 Taliban militants, detain 12 others in Kabul

[KhaamaPress] The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces killed two Taliban militants during an operation in capital Kabul.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) in a statement said the security forces conducted the operation in Paghman district.

Furthermore, the security forces arrested 12 suspected Taliban militants during the same operation.

The Taliban group as usual claimed that two civilians were killed and multiple others were arrested during the operation.

This comes as the Afghan armed forces have inflicted heavy casualties on Taliban militants in various restive districts and provinces of the country during the recent months.
