'We won't give an inch': India faces defiance in 'Kashmir's Gaza'
2019-08-23
[DAWN] Young men sit beside a pile of rocks and a bonfire, protecting the only entrance to a besieged neighbourhood they call "Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
's Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
" as a mosque loudspeaker broadcasts slogans of liberation.

In an act of defiance against New Delhi's controversial decision to withdraw occupied Kashmir's special status and integrate it fully into India, Soura neighbourhood on the outskirts of Srinagar has sealed itself off from security forces.

Since early August, residents have erected ramshackle barricades of tin sheets, wooden logs, oil tanks and concrete pillars, and dug trenches to keep soldiers at bay amid daily protests against India.

"They can only enter Soura over our bodies. We won't give even an inch of land to India," Mufeed, a resident who volunteers to guard the neighbourhood at night, told AFP.

"Just like Gaza is resisting Israel, we will fight for our motherland with all our might," Mufeed added.

#12  If a "place of worship" broadcasts propaganda from one side in an armed conflict, is it still a protected place?

#11  Enlightening. Thanks, Dron.

#10  It's only Pakistain that obsesses about India. It has no hopes of anything beyond savage survival and murdering Indians if it can. I believe we shall see the dissolution of Pakistain in our lifetimes now. It's nothing.

The real danger is the deeply infected EU islamists, salafists and anti-semites in the UN. And muslims in the US Government. Everybody knows if the US falls, everything else is easy from there.

#9  Glenmore, I believe the problem herein lies in the leftist liberal model of diplomacy and domestic power. It is not based on fraternity or global brotherhood or welcoming all or some shit like that. It's a lazy strategy of building supports by appeasing minorities like muslims. They think that the poor fucker from the third world can be always be controlled. Just why they were the party to feature black slavery.

To their way of thinking, these things can be weaponized, to wreak havoc on classical conservative edifices, for them to move in and change status quo on everything hard working people have worked for. A fresh start after sacking Alexandria by unleashing sasquatches on it. They partner up with such things only for convenience's sake. And good men and women have to pay the price for their follies. Islamic jihad wouldn't be jack-shit today if not for the American deepState actors repeatedly putting their trust behind such things. If it were not for traitors in exceedingly liberal societies, an idiot entity like islam wouldn't stand a chance in the modern world.

#8  So, Dron, a trial run of Islam's plan for the world?

#7  Ruprecht, at the time of partition even Pakistan was 24% hindus. The kingdom of Kashmir, ruled by a hindu Rajah was never formally colonized and retained it's status. There were as many hindus in Kashmir as muslims. Besides, the culture of the region was more on the lines of the Sufi mysticism and a peaceful cohesion of hinduism and islam Yes. Unbelievable but it was just so.
During partition, most of the sunni muslims from northern Indian states (not Kashmir) were the ones who went and settled in Pakistain. There was a genocide and the exodus of millions of non-muslims from the new islamic republic.

Kashmir was yet independent and did not wish to cede to either nation, but Pakistain attacked them to annex it in the first Kashmir War . India had to assist and hold the bloody place without any final resolution until the tiresome king was dead. After that there were more hindus and sikhs in Kashmir than muslims for a while.

It wasn't until the late 70s and through the 80s that Pakistain, well funded and emboldened by the CIA's largesse during Op Cyclone a poorly written love affair which started with Carter began their adventure with supporting jihad outside their shithole. They began a bloodbath and covert replacement of the population of Kashmir, killing and chasing out hindus, christians and sikhs they infiltrated salafi muslims and militant clans in the valley.

By 1989, there were no more non-muslims in Kashmir. By the late 90s there were burnt christian schools, shariah enforcers, terror schools, the works. The aim of Pakistain was to try to destabilize and take India piecemeal, using means and resources achieved through the never-ending western aid supply. Lest you wonder what we were doing with our thumbs up our asses all this while, India was under weak leftist, liberal Govts all those years - the same jig of diversity, appeasement, corruption, incompetence.

So that's the concise history of the current demographic.

#6  If I understand correctly when partition happened the leadership of Kashmir wanted India but the bulk of the population was/is Muslim. Is that correct? I favor India and think Kashmir is better off as part of India but it seems their claim isn't all that great.

Long ago India should have granted Kashmir and Punjab as independent/allies to act as buffer states between Pakistan and India.

If they did that Baluchistan would have wanted to join up as well and the Punjab in Pakistan might have preferred joining Punjab state. Pakistan would have spent all her time keeping things together and India would have had a number of small states on their border.

Of course the risk is that some other parts of India might have wanted to go independent as well but I *think* the rest of India is pretty solid.
