| #2 I think this storm is a good test case for gravitational mechanics at the solar system level. There's a supermoon coming up and that has to be part of why such an energetic atmospheric event just sits there. Think great red spot on Jupiter. The gravitational factors (Earth, moon Sun) are much smaller than (Jupiter, Sun, all inner planets) but the parallels are there. Of course none of that can be taxed and therefore is uninteresting... |
