#9  It's too close to the rollover to reply properly, but I'm sure there will be another article on that issue tomorrow when Parliament has voted.

#8  Politicians had years to figure out a fix EC. They didn't and now the person who has the current upper hand is going to dictate terms. Is that fair? I think so. Is that what people want? Maybe not. But if people can't cooperate to get what they want, then they don't deserve it. And the British idea was not to continue enjoying the benefits so much as not have to keep paying for the damn thing and be able to negotiate terms for their next trade deal before they left. The EU refused, so Britain is leaving anyways with no deal. Whether or not you like this or think that this will benefit them, this was the only option left to them other than staying in indefinitely (continued "temporary" pauses amount to nothing more than permanently staying in the EU, and the bureaucrats will make sure of that).

#7  A US-UK Free Trade deal would be a beautiful thing.

Actually, it would be a fairly straightforward matter to recreate the British Comminwealth's trade relations, with the US anchoring the whole thing.

The benefits of a US-UK-Canada-Australia-Commonwealth free trade zone are many and powerful.

Anglo-American common law.
Complete sovereignty for every participant.
The world's largest oil and gas production along with extensive supplies of almost every critical natural resource and the world's largest and most efficient agribusiness sector.
The world's leading tech companies and every one of its best research universities.

#6  The UK always had full border control, so Brexit wouldn't change anything. Actually France might be less willing to cooperate with the UK.

#5  If UK leaves the club wherever will they get their supply of Muslim terrorists replenished?

#4  Why bowing? If you leave a club you leave. But don't expect to continue enjoying benefits from the club you leave.

The British idea was to leave the EU yet continue to enjoy most of the benefits the EU provides. This wasn't going to work.

The "clean" way to this this now is to delay the exit date for a few months and call for a general election. The new parliament can then decide on deal or no deal, with the backing of a majority of the voters.

#3  How does UK enjoy bowing to the Germans and French?

#2  Let's state the facts:

There may be a slight majority for Brexit.
There is NO public majority for a no deal Brexit.
There is (currently) NO majority for the May deal or a no deal Brexit in parliament.
There's no majority for Johnson in parliament.

To let the clock run out and therefore force a no deal Brexit is highly problematic.
