| Iraqi paramilitary fighters kill 4 Islamic State terrorists in Salahuddin 8 September Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) – An Iraqi paramilitary group has said that its fighters killed four members of the Islamic State militant group in Salahuddin province. “A force of the 6th brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces managed to kill four Islamic State militants during a security operation in the Makhoul mountains, northeast of Salahuddin province,” the media center of the Popular Mobilization Forces said in a press statement Sunday. According to the statement, a manhunt was launched for other IS militants in the area. Iraqi troops kill 15 Islamic State jihadists in Salahuddin 9 September Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) – Iraq’s Counter-Terrorism Service announced on Monday that 15 Islamic Sate militants were killed during a security operation in Salahuddin province. “Acting on intelligence information, the Counter-Terrorism Service, in coordination with the U.S.-led international coalition, carried out a security operation in Mutaibijah and desert areas in Salahuddin, leaving 15 terrorists dead, including suicide bombers,” the spokesman for the Counter-Terrorism Service said in a statement. “The troops also arrested nine terrorists and destroyed several hotbeds and tunnels that were used by Islamic State militants,” the statement read. |
