#9  your propaganda is bullshit Herb. You're an Eeyore that says we'll never win or succeed and so we should just cower and retreat. I detest your cut-n-paste macros in lieu of reasoned discourse. I am not the one who's spamcopped you, but I won't hesitate when you denigrate other's motives here. Get your own Eeyore website, perhaps with Allahpundit from HotAir?

#8  Yes, that is the exact strong motivation that recruits thousands of Jihadis to fight us. Thanks for illustrating my point, Phaick Uneretle6310, I couldn't have done it better myself.

#7  If any muslims want to live in peace, they should denounce islam and adopt any damn religion I don't care. As long as there is islam in the world, no one can rest easy.

#6  Sometimes the taliban commanders will ask for young men from the tribal areas. In a manpower crunch, when they need heavy lifting or labour. They are bullied and forced to work for them loading, unloading stuff, running errands etc.

At other times, they are known to abduct wives or children and force the men to be the front line for some raid or against the Alliance forces.

A lot of the fodder that burns is expendable to them, without losing their own core force. A lot of this war is a sickly grey. We may learn in time that the real core of the taliban was only a few hundred men and the thousands they sent were trapped in the necessities of their condition. But it's still all on the mullahs of course.

#5  Have you every met someone who lost someone on 9/11. I have. A group of 30 of us in a Dale Carnegie class were asked to talk about something that had an impact on our life. A guy stood up and cried through his entire presentation in anguish at the loss of a close friend a few months before in the towers. He was Muslim middle eastern young man.

You don't a skin or sh!t in nothing 'H_MCoy'_boy so when it comes to your rambling ... STFU, Loser.

#4  As far as I can tell, Herb, most of the Talib cannon fodder come straight from the madrassahs in Pakistan, with no idea of who they are fighting against or why. And their parents, who sent their sons for a free education (with a meal plan!) to be followed by a secure career as an imam somewhere, only discover what happened to their lads when they get a letter reporting the death.

And really, most of the time they are shooting in the general direction of locals in need of conquering or at Afghan police or military, not against foreign soldiers.

But yes, plenty more where they came from, so long as the Pashtun lower-middle and upper-poor classes are ambitious for their excess sons to improve themselves and be fed on someone else’s dime. But the alternative is to allow the establishment of a local version of an ISIS caliphate over much of the country, and permanent war against it in the rest.

#3  They just replace their losses. It isn't hard. Plenty more where they came from.

14 Taliban died, and every one of them now has a dozen mourning family members. How hard is it, you think, to recruit more militants from their ranks? Easy-peasy. Just tell 'em we'll let you kill the ones who killed your relative.

17 years of this and we still haven't learned?
