Iran says it's ready for war with US after Saudi oil attack accusations
2019-09-15
Tough talk from towelheads with a collapsing economy
[Sky] Iran has dismissed US accusations it was behind drone attacks on Saudi Arabia's oil plants, and warned it is ready for a "full-fledged" war.

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said Washington had adopted a "maximum pressure" strategy against Iran, but because of "its failure [the US] is leaning toward maximum lies".

His remarks came as a senior commander in Iran's Revolutionary Guards said America's military bases and aircraft carriers, which are stationed up to 1,243 miles around Iran, were within range of Iranian missiles.

#21  Keep in mind the Democrats and deep state would love to get us into another war before the election. Iran is just helping them. Now wonder what the DNC had promised Iran in return.

#20  "Tough talk from towelheads with a collapsing economy"

Also a fitting description of the Taliban in late 2001.

For them tough talk and defiance was a winning strategy.

Saudi Arabia oil supply was attacked. There is reason to believe that we know the culprit, are locked and loaded depending on verification, but are waiting to hear from the Kingdom as to who they believe was the cause of this attack, and under what terms we would proceed!

#17  I'd like to see drones used to take out Iranian leadership. WE should always go after leadership so their replacements will be a bit more cautious of their own skins in a way you don't see when the grunts are slaughtered.

#14  Nope. India did buy around 24 million tonnes of crude though. I think the waiver by Trump expired in May this year. Since then the imports fell by 24% and a new waiver is being negotiated until deals with alternate sources can be struck.

#11  Herb, nobody chooses to go to war for kicks. States that value and wish to keep their international interests and alliances secure are eventually forced to act to preempt the actions of other States on a collision course with them.

States that do not preemptively act often find themselves beset by actors who then get to become quite a bit of a bother.

If America has failed Your knowledge of that is encyclopedic. in any regard at these conflicts or political screwups have been caused, it's because of several factors that impinged upon every respective situation, not because the decision to act itself is flawed.

You can't simply collapse your entire intelligence apparatus, become deaf to alarms from your spies, close your eyes to armed State leaders who declare war on 'America the great Satan', and call it a day.

#9  You maybe get the idea that American meddling in other countries that are no threat to us is the entire problem?

Keep telling yourself that when the fallout gets here.

#6  Surely it will work out just as well as the last time we interfered with Iran's government. You remember, in 1979 when we abandoned the Shah, as he was a human rights violator. The Ayatollahs took over in a completely surprising move. Especially seeing as we had met with them before we gave the green light to them.

Or it will work as well as the time we meddled in Iran in the 50s. That was when we overthrew the elected government for the crime of wanting to share its oil wealth with its people. Bad wrong doubleplusungood! We installed the Shah.

You maybe get the idea that American meddling in other countries that are no threat to us is the entire problem?

#5  Why would the US be involved in a war over this? It's Saudi Arabia they should be worried about! Saudi Arabia has a much more capable military than Iran does.

I want the Iranian/Persian people out from under the boot heel of these fanatics.
