The 203rd Thunder Corps said in a statement a group of Talibs attempted to attack the security posts in Mata Khan district but the Afghan forces effectively responded to the attack.
The statement further added that the security forces killed 13 Talibs during the clash and maimed at least 7 others.
Furthermore, the 203rd Thunder Corps said the Talibs left behind a 82mm mortar launcher, 2 Ak-47 rifles, 2 M16 rifles and a night vision binocular following the clash.
The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far.
