Pakistan summons Indian diplomat over shelling in Kashmir
2019-10-01
[PRESSTV] Pakistain has summoned India’s deputy high commissioner in the wake of a recent ceasefire violation by Indian forces in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
"The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation," Pakistain’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

Gaurav Ahluwalia, the deputy high commissioner, was summoned to hear Islamabad’s protest.

Pakistain says a 60-year-old woman and a teenage boy were killed in a deadly shelling along the volatile Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday and Sunday.

A front man for India’s Foreign Ministry said it had no immediate comment on the matter.

Kashmir has long been a flash point between India and Pakistain, which have fought two of their three wars over the disputed territory. Both countries rule parts of Kashmir while claiming it in full.

India regularly accuses Pakistain of arming and training Death Eaters and allowing them across the restive frontier in an attempt to launch attacks. Pakistain strongly denies the allegation.
"allowing"? Try "Sending"
On August 5, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a surprise executive decree to strip the Indian-controlled portion of the Moslem-majority region of its special status. Modi claimed the decision was necessary for Kashmir’s economic development and it was meant to stop "terrorism."
