#2 :-) We used to play at writing one-line programs in APL in my high school programming class, SteveS, entered on a keyboard connected to the mainframe by telephone modem. After that, having to use Fortran on bloody punch cards, wait in line to submit them, then wait for a time slot for the silly thing to be run drove me right out of the entire field. |
