2019-10-20 |
[ToloNews] Six members of the People’s Peace Movement, who were kidnapped earlier this morning in Pashtun-infested Logar province, have been released, say PPM spokespeople. The kidnapped members were traveling to a peace gathering in the Sharak area of Pul-e-Alam, Pashtun-infested Logar’s capital, according to Bismillah Watandost, a front man for the People’s Peace Movement. Earlier, Watandost reported that the Taliban ![]() was responsible, and they had taken the abductees to an ’unknown place in Pashtun-infested Logar province.’ The People’s Peace Movement started in 2018 and gained international attention when members began a march from Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... to Kabul pledging to personally deliver a demand for peace to both the Afghan government and the Taliban. The movement has undertaken more marches since, and its members have been kidnapped before. |
