2019-10-26 |
[IsraelTimes] Pentagon chief Mark Esper said Friday that the United States will leave more American troops and armored vehicles in eastern Syria to help prevent Islamic State![]() Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... The defense secretary confirmed that the US will send in an armored force to the region, but he did not provide details or the number of troops. His comments at a news conference at NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... headquarters in Brussels reflected one more change in what has been a rapidly shifting US stance on American forces in Syria. Just last week, President Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... insisted that all 1,000 American forces in Syria would leave the war-torn country. Then he acknowledged that a couple hundred would stay at the al Tanf garrison in the south. The US official who send the deployment probably would include tanks offered no more details. This official was not authorized to discuss internal discussions about military planning and spoke on condition of anonymity. He said the US wants to ensure that Islamic State |

#20 John Brennan did the alleging you mean. He was in charge of ME Ops back in 2002-2003. Funny how he screwed up so bad and still found his way into the Directors Chair. |

#19 Yes, it doesn't even have to be a successful hit. We went to Iraq because Saddam allegedly tried to whack Poppy. I suspect the CIA did the alleging. |

#17 Syria isn't "our neighborhood". American national and strategic interests in Syria are utterly nonexistent. |

#16 I'm sure turning it into a nice sheet of glowing radioactive glass would be entertaining. Entertaining, oh yes. But the only way they learn is if you give em that 7th century they want. No water, electricity or modern medications. They can send a guy on a camel when they tire of it. |

#13 I don't want endless, needless war at all. But our neighborhoods look like hell if we don't cut the grass. Capice? |

#12 Let ISIS have the oil. Let Turkey buy it cheap to prop up their failed muzzist economy. It's like legalizing fentanyl because dead kids are preferable to a prison state. Does that about cover it, Herb? |

#11 It's like a bad parody of what the Left thinks the US government does. "We must seize the oilfields" I used to make fun of them for that shit. But now here it is. |

#10 When you actually think things through, you discover some situations are messy. As HL Mencken said, "Every problem has a simple, easy to understand wrong solution." |

#6 Because God forbid there is some oil supply in the world that is not controlled by the globalists. Jesus Christ. It's like a parody of what the antiwar protesters said about the Iraq war, only this is for real. "Let us put Americans to death in a meaningless war to save the precious oil!" We're really in clown world. |

#5 Yes, CHVK Wagner Group, a Russian private military company (PMC) experienced a very rude awakening near a Syrian oil field back in Feb of 2018. The Russian doesn't have much, but he has a pretty good memory. Newsweekarticle found here. |

#3 As long as the oil field force has U.S. air support, everything will go as planned. |

#1 This makes sense. Stolen oil is where ISIS gets its funding and stolen oil props up the muzzist gummint in Turkey. Strangle em both. |
