An interesting photo of surrendered men at the lnk.
[KhaamaPress] A group of 62 ISIS holy warriors including Pak and Ottoman Turkish nationals surrendered to Afghan forces in eastern Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
province.

The local officials said the bad boys, including 30 Paks and 2 Ottoman Turkish nationals surrendered to Afghan forces in Achin district of Nangarhar.

Tamim Arif Momand, the deputy provincial governor of Nangarhar said the holy warriors surrendered amid ongoing counter-terrorism operations.

Momand furhter added that ISIS holy warriors have lost capability to resist the Afghan forces.

Sulaiman, one of the holy warriors of ISIS said he joined the terror group in Afghanistan five years ago and participated in several fights.

The holy warriors also handed over several weapons including Ak-47s, PKMs, pistols and munitions, the provincial government added in its statement.

This comes as the ministry of defense had earlier announced that more than 600 ISIS holy warriors and their family members have surrendered to Afghan forces during the recent weeks.
Are they moving with families to winter quarters, or is something truly significant going on? This is really strange.

#10  I'd agree Unaitle, or a Chinese knockoff.

#9  ISIS is being attacked from all sides - US, Afghan, Taliban, AQ. Even the Paks don't want them.

Anyone here knows what it is?

Looks like an RPD light machine gun w/ a 100 round drum magazine. It's ancient but US forces sure could have used something like it in Korea or Vietnam.

#6  Ref #5: Winter quarters in Pakland.

Paki Frontier Corps 'winter quarters' Afghan border layover site. Food, news, prayer rug, transport... all provided at no charge.

Hundreds of hours Full Motion Video (FMV) of the Taliban trekkers moving to and from are available somewhere.

#5  Are they moving with families to winter quarters,

Winter quarters are in Pakland.

Normally you don't have to 'destroy' AQ or ISS, just reduce them in effectiveness in order to allow 'nature' to take its own course in creating a stronger predator to move in.

The problem is Pakistan. They are the center of gravity for these outfits. The Deep State has played the game of bribery so long with little effect. Looks like Trump is starving them now of resources. They're seeking a replacement in China. Notice we don't see a lot about how the Chinese are treating their Muslims in much of that Pak-Chinese dialogue.

#3  You are looking head on at a drum type magazine, yeah it does sort of look like the back end of a motor from that angle.

#2  I wonder what kind of weapon that thing in the middle is (kind of looks like a small gas motor.)

Anyone here knows what it is?

#1  I too think something truly significant is going on. The Afghan govt is suddenly succeeding in a campaign all the powers of the west took a decade at. 'Huge numbers', 'great casualties' and 'heavy losses to' are being reported every hour.

Some of the men in the photo appear absolutely non-compos mentis if you know what I mean. I'm not against good news, mind you; but in my dealings with this particular animal, I've learned honesty is only a last, desperate afterthought.

Oh maybe I'm just too cynical. Forget what I said.
