Retiring House Democrat says a Trump reelection would be a 'nightmare scenario' for Congress
2019-12-09 | |
Heck announced Wednesday that he would retire after completing his current term, noting that part of him feels "discouraged" by some of his colleagues' reactions to the impeachment inquiry. "If President Trump gets a second term, what do you think the impact's going to be on Congress?" "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd asked Heck on NBC. "That is a nightmare scenario, in my mind," Heck responded. "Because of the absence of a commitment to decency or truth on his part that has been amply demonstrated in his three years in public office, because of his refusal to recognize even the most basic precepts of constitutional principle," he added. Heck added that one point of discouragement has been the growing number of people who "simply don't believe in compromise." "My soul is weary, Chuck," he said. ”Oh, Chuck, the ennui, it is so tiresome,” he added.

#12 #10 Imagine if Trump walked out of the election with GOP in charge of House and Senate. Now, that would be justice. |

#10 Imagine if Trump walked out of the election with GOP in charge of House and Senate. Would the few NeverTrumpers hold their noses and come aboard for the win or would they still drag their feet? |

#9 He just sat on his a$$ for 40 years in Congress and did nothing to rein in suicidal debt. They all should be all fired and their pensions taken away. |

#7 "Why can't they meet us halfway on, say, the question of gender fluidity?" sorta thing? Deal. Your beloved trannies will henceforth be considered girls from the waist up, boys from the waist down. Now they need to stay the fook outta the girls' bathroom. And no more competing in girls' sporting events. |

#6 the growing number of people who "simply don't believe in compromise." Dem compromise is 1/2 all conservatives die instead of all. |

#5 Heck, like Schiff, has fiction-writing aspirations. A good thing; unlike Schiff, Heck is not a lawyer. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Evergreen State College. He also graduated from Evergreen. Enough said. The world is full of tortured author-playwrights souls. |

#1 The World is Too Much With Us By the Hon. Chuck "What the" Heck-Wordsworth The world is too much with us; late and soon, Getting and spending, we lay waste the Nation's budget;— Little we see in Congress that can nudge it; We have given our arse away, a sordid boon! This Whore that bares her cheeks unto the moon; The Squad that will be howling at all hours, And are up-gathered now like rancid flowers; For this, for everything, we are out of tune; It moves us not. Great God! I’d rather be A Deplorable suckled in a tweet outworn; So might I, opening in this pleasant studio, Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn; Have sight of Schiff, Delecto, and Deludio Or hear old Nancy blow her Botoxed horn. |
