  • The Driver's License Access and Privacy Act was passed on June 17, 2019

  • On Monday, hundreds lined up in New York to apply for driver's license under law

  • Law allows those aged 16 and older to apply for the license 'regardless of their citizenship or lawful status' in the US, according to the law

  • License applicants without a valid Social Security number can submit multiple alternative forms of ID that includes valid passports issued in foreign countries

  • It's hoped the law will make day-to-day lives easier for undocumented migrants
