coronavirus outbreak, officially known as COVID-19, in Iran has risen to 2,077 with 27,017 confirmed cases and 9,625 recovered.
i.e., according to my admittedly shaky math, of those confirmed, a 7 to 8 percent death rate.
Iran’s Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour said on Wednesday that 2,206 new cases have tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of infections in Iran to 27,017
27,017 divided by 47,500,000 works out to a pretty small .06% infection rate.
Some 9,625 patients, infected by the novel coronavirus, have so far recovered and discharged from hospitals, he added.
