House GOP blasts FBI's Wray, demands key Russia interviews and documents
2020-05-06
[Just the News] Two senior Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee sent a stinging letter Monday to FBI Director Chris Wray, suggesting he has failed to lead his agency past the abuses uncovered in the Russia scandal and demanding new access to witnesses and documents.

The letter, largely symbolic since Republicans are in the House minority, is nonetheless the latest signal that Wray's hold on his job may be in jeopardy after a series of devastating revelations about misconduct inside the nation's premier law enforcement agency.

"The American people continue to learn troubling details about the politicization and misconduct at the highest levels of the FBI during the Obama-Biden Administration," the wrote. "Even more concerning, we continue to learn these new details from litigation and investigations—not from you," the lawmakers wrote. "It is well past time that you show the leadership necessary to bring the FBI past the abuses of the Obama-Biden era."

#4  "Senior Republicans" are only a threat to their "fellow Republicans" -- especially when the latter's backs are turned.

If the GOP regains control of the House, this will all be forgotten.

#2  "Two senior republicans".... I'm sure the smug, arrogant Wray is losing a great deal of sleep.

#1  Wray should be asked to expain his behavior re Flynn, and continued redaction of what seems almost certain to be information that should have been given to Flynn's attorneys.
Why does the DOJ and FBI now continue the case. Unless there is a rational explanation, Wray must be asked to resign.
