#8  Sure. What does a course of chemo cost? $1m or something like that? Well, if you kill off 1000 people who otherwise would have needed cancer treatment, you just saved your state a cool $1B.

#7  Culling the herd.

#6  Indeed.

Deaths from foregone surgeries and other forms of urgent care denied because of the retarded lockdown will be even greater than the toll from increased suicides, addiction and violence.

We're already seeing this increase in the CDC's own data. The lockdown is killing as many people as it is saving lives.

#5  This is just one metric. Deaths from other causes are rising too. ER's are empty, doctors are being furloughed, tent hospitals are closing after never treating a single patient, and people are dying because they can't access routine healthcare.

#4  WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KGO) -- Doctors at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek say they have seen more deaths by suicide during this quarantine period than deaths from the COVID-19 virus.

The head of the trauma [unit] in the department believes mental health is suffering so much, it is time to end the shelter-in-place order. ...

The numbers are unprecedented, he said.

"We've never seen numbers like this, in such a short period of time," he said. "I mean we've seen a year's worth of suicide attempts in the last four weeks."

#3  It's bad enough we have NY's Cuomo, the Grandma Killer, but when all is said and done, how much savagery will we discover based on the response to the COVID-19 "crisis" as opposed to the COVID-19 itself?

#2  F'in disgusting. And, of course, sad.
