The statement, of which the Syrian Observatory obtained a copy, says "at such difficult time and at a time when Moslems’ hearts breaking for seeing the occupier’s heavy gears invading our beloved liberated land, HTS comes to surprise us by arresting the brother ’Abu Salah al-Uzbaki’ as well as two other brothers escorting him.
In obedience to Allah who commands us to deal others in a friendly manner, and after acting deaf towards our repeated appeals, we call them (HTS affiliates) to actually apply the teachings of religion and to respond promptly to hold a sharia commission for taking up that case, so that all will avoid resorting to power and violence against violators. We will also protect ourselves and our families in the liberated land form the possible repercussions of oppression, aggression and disobeying Allah and the prophet. Finally, we recommend ourselves and our brothers to adhere to justice, truth and rightness.”
