The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the Talibs launched attacks in Kohistan
...a backwoods district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa distinguished by being even more rustic than is the norm among the local Pashtuns....
and Sherin Tagab districts, targeting the security posts in the central parts of the two provinces.
The statement further added that the security forces effectively responded to the attacks, killing at least 12 Talibs.
The security forces also maimed at least 6 Talibs during the festivities, the 209th Shaheen Corps added.
