After eight-hour interview, John Brennan claims he isn't under criminal investigation by John Durham |
2020-08-22 |
Getting ahead of whatever report the federal prosecutor is expected to release, which President Trump and his allies believe will be a damning assessment of the actions taken by top intelligence and national security officials taken against Trump's campaign and administration, Brennan also declared he confronted Durham about the politicization of his efforts. A statement from Nick Shapiro, Brennan's former deputy chief of staff and senior adviser, also claimed the former CIA director was told he is not under criminal investigation. I seem to remember the Orange Man being told something quite similar. They met at CIA headquarters and discussed "issues related to Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election," Shapiro said, adding that Durham informed Brennan that "he is not a subject or a target of a criminal investigation, and that he is only a witness to events that are under review." Met at CIA headquarters? I thought Brennan no longer worked at the CIA? 'Red Badged' was he ? |

#11 Brennan spend 8 hours telling Durham what Brennan's friends in CIA can do to him? |

#10 The photo of Brennan with that scowl is an absolute beauty. |

#9 We know that Brennan is a liar so, yeah, let's wait and see. It's not October yet. |

#8 It doesn't take 8 hours to tell someone he's not a target of an investigation. I call B.S. |

#6 Brennan also declared he confronted Durham about the politicization of his efforts. Really good lawyers and investigators listen a lot more than they talk, hoping the person being interviewed will reveal useful information of his own free will. Brennan’s confronting, in this context, may well have been exactly what U.S. Attorney John Durham was hoping for from the man not currently under criminal investigation. |

#5 "as [Durham] wraps up his inquiry..." LOL, yeah, right. |

#3 Of course Brennan was going to quickly spin this. Let's see how it goes - anything out of his or his spokeshole's mouth is a lie by definition and character |

#1 ![]() So Brennan ends up grilling Durham on Brennan's own turf and real locus of power. Nice, very nice. Hat tip to host Director Gina Haspel and Durham for the thrilling, closed session softball game. Looks like the big one just got away, as has been predicted here for three years or so. Obama and Biden walked to home plate and scored runs. Both were met with raucous cheering and 'high fives' in the Deep State dugout. |
