Portland: Mayor Ted Wheeler says the city is ''considering all options'
2020-08-25
[OPB.ORG] In late July, Mayor Ted Wheeler
...the incompetent but trendy leftist mayor of Portland...
had an idea he hoped would end the nightly festivities between protesters and police in Portland.

He texted Sonia Schmanski, a top aide, that he had a plan that was "high risk," but he added that the city had "nothing to lose."

#17  Done Control, or, "Take my gun... please."

Democracy, gun to her head:
"Progressives, I wish I were dead!"
A liberal snigger:
"I'll help! Pull the trigger!"
She bled as he dragged her to bed.

#16  Do ‘all’ options include employing deadly force, fast and hard?

#15  Is one of those options having the entire elected body resign en-mass and committing ritual suicide in the town square to wipe the stain from their honor?

#14  Dusk to Dawn curfew obviously hasn't been even talked about.

Making you close your business "because muh COVID" is A-OK, but a curfew? That would be a civil rights violation.

#13  I was around in the '60s. Dusk to Dawn curfew obviously hasn't been even talked about.

#12  Wiki: Wheeler advocates for increased gun control, and supports requiring rigorous background checks for people attempting to buy guns. On March 14, 2018, he released a letter in support of The National School Walkout against gun violence. On April 20, Wheeler told hundreds of students outside Portland city hall that he would work on a ban of assault-style weapons in Portland.

#10  Has he considered that having a ‘small group’ of rioters in a large number of ‘protesters’ might be by design? That the ‘protesters’ are simply to give cover to the hard core rioters?

#9  These lads looked 'peaceful' as well. Brown shirts, neckties, smartly polished boots, etc.

The black uniforms, skull and lightening bolt insignia came a bit later.

#8  The allegedly peaceful ones (crock of BS) know damn well that one next to them with a rock in their hand or a home made shield is not there to be peaceful. They deserve whatever they get for not distancing themselves from the alleged violent few.

#4  Portland: Mayor Ted Wheeler says the city is ''considering all options'

The ones that might work are immediately rejected?

#3  How to translate these principles into on-the-ground tactics has flummoxed city leaders.

Perhaps because no such thing is possible when dealing with these creatures.

#2  How about "Governor Brown, it's obvious that the Portland pice are unable to handle the riots. Please activate the National Guard."
