...mindless ferocity in a turban...launched an attack on their check point in Shahrak district of Ghor province, local officials in the province said on Tuesday.
6 other soldiers were maimed in the attack, said the officials.
Arif Abir, a front man for Ghor's governor, said that the attack happened at a checkpoint known as Qabristan in Shahrak district, stating that the checkpoint is still out of the control of government forces.
The Taliban have so far not commented.
