BLM rioters wielding AR-15s CORNER armored Kenosha police truck and force it to RETREAT as heavily armed civilians take to the streets to protect their livelihoods while city braces for third night of rioting after Jacob Blake was shot by cops [Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Heavily armed civilians have been filmed patrolling outside businesses in Kenosha after arsonists set buildings alight, torching much of the black business district Monday. In footage taken by a local news hound, a small group of men can be seen carrying rifles and wearing combat gear as they protect local shops. They deny they are part of a militia. The Wisconsin city became the nation's latest flashpoint in a summer of racial unrest after police shot unarmed black man Jacob Blake, 29, in the back Sunday. The shooting occurred three months after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis sparked nationwide protests against police brutality and racism. One of the gunnies in the footage taken Monday night says: 'They're destroying their own neighborhood. It's not the civilians. Go f*** up the government that just killed your man. Don't f*** up your neighbors. 'I'm on your side but you can't burn down your local businesses.' Another adds: 'We’re out here trying to protect residents, we’re trying to protect the innocent people and we’re trying to protect the businesses of the citizens out here.' National Guard called out to Kenosha as protesters wreck largely black neighborhood [NYPOST] The National Guard was called in to quell fiery ...a single two-syllable word carrying connotations of both incoherence and viciousness. A fiery delivery implies an audience of rubes and yokels, preferably forming up into a mob... riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin — as protesters defied a curfew to loot and destroy a mostly black business area they are supposedly trying to defend following the police shooting of a local black man.Democratic Gov. Tony Evers summoned 125 members of the National Guard Monday after protesters set cars on fire, smashed windows and clashed with officers in riot gear Sunday after the shooting of Jacob Blake. But that and a dusk-to-dawn curfew did not stop the city from exploding once again on Monday night — with blazes set near the scene of Blake’s shooting as protesters clashed with law enforcement in riot gear. Videos on social media showed some protesters using baseball bats to systematically smash a line of parked cars. Another clip showed a man calmly lighting a fuse to torch an already smashed-up garbage truck as explosions went off around him. |

Prosecutors in Kenosha County, Wisconsin charged Blake, 29, with third-degree sexual assault, trespassing and disorderly conduct in connection with domestic abuse last month, according to The Kenosha News. An arrest warrant for Blake was issued on July 6. The newspaper reported that a woman living in the 2800 block of 40th Street told police in May that Blake, her ex-boyfriend, had come into her home and taken her car keys and vehicle. She also said he had touched her sexually without consent. ... Raysean White, the man who filmed the video, said he saw police officers wrestle, punch and user a Taser on Blake moments before he started recording. "After they punched him in his rib, the female officer Tased him and Jacob kind of leaned on the car and they proceeded to wrestle him toward the back of the car and he went to the other side of the car," he told CNN. "When they were on the other side of the car on the ground, I had to pick up my camera and start recording." White told the Associated Press that he heard officers shout "Drop the knife! Drop the knife!" before they shot Blake, but said he didn't see one in his hands. |

| #5 My understanding is that it started with service of a felony warrant. The cops had knowledge of his priors including violence and some kind of weapons charge. They had every right to suspect after he resisted arrest that he might be seeking a weapon in the car. We don't know if there was a weapon there, but if there was reasonable suspicion in the arresting officers mind, lethal force before being shot is a legitimate reaction. It sounds like the officers followed the traditional escalation of force doctrine to the letter in attempting to effect the arrest. Maybe someone in authority should lay that doctrine and the events that occurred out for the media so they get the justification clearly before they go all BLM again. |

| #4 Witnesses to Jacob Blake's shooting have said that police used a Taser and wrestled with him prior to the shooting (and prior to the video being streamed 24/7). But that apparently doesn't matter. |
