A small truck loaded with explosives exploded in Balkh district, almost 20 kilometers northwest of Mazar-e-Sharif city, the center of Balkh province.
Houses near the Afghan National Army’s commando unit headquarters were heavily damaged in the earth-shattering kaboom and officials said that over 30 people were maimed, including six security force members.
The toll of civilian casualties is currently three dead and 24 maimed, officials said.
