  • Staff Sgt. Vincent P. Marketta, 33, of Brick, New Jersey, and Sgt. Tyler M. Shelton, 22, of San Bernardino, California were identified as fatalities in training accident

  • A 15T UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed during what the military says was 'routine training' on San Clemente Island off the Southern California coast

  • Marketta and Shelton were part of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), an elite unit also known as 'Night Stalkers'

  • The 160th SOAR (A) took part and provided cover for special forces in the 2011 mission in Pakistan that killed Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden

#2  This is a hazard of the dangerous missions Night Stalkers do. It is tragic. But Night Stalkers Don't Quit. My condolences go out to the families that lost a loved one.
