#6  In New York there aren't any parking lots, because New York sucks.

#5  And in San Diego they just took over the parking lots and put tables outside and life goes on. California is nuts but San Diego is pretty awesome.

#4  Allowing them to reopen would not be enough. To many high-paying jobs now work from home — and those workers have moved or will soon move far from the city — which means significantly fewer business lunches and dinners. Expensive restaurants need those expense report regulars; they can’t survive on birthday and anniversary celebrations, no matter how romantic.

The majority of them were doomed as soon as President Trump signed off on ending the state income tax write-off. Without that equalizer, high income New Yorkers started to leave — the coronavirus lockdown just accelerated the trend.

#3  When you elect and support awful people, you get awful results. If they can't acknowledge that reality, they have gotten what they deserve. Too bad. I won't cry for them when they're gone.

They say that like it wasn't the plan. You put a commie in charge. Never let a crisis go to waste.
