| Israel's coronavirus infection rate up to startling 12% |

| [YNet] - Coronavirus resurgence in Israel continues at an alarming pace as infection rate increased further and now stands at a startling 12 percent, health officials said Monday. The Health Ministry reported that on Sunday 2,157 people tested positive for COVID-19, with one out of every nine tests returning positive. |

And, "I was asked by the Knesset’s Law, Justice and Constitution Committee to increase the number of tests in Bnei Brak and other ultra-Orthodox cities, and already today drive-in complexes and inspection centers will open in all these cities. Increasing the amount of tests is essential for truncating the infection chains." |

| #3 No. Most of the Haredi are infected - these who not busy consuming limited medical resource are busy spreading it to the rest of the population. And there is nothing to be done - now. In proportional representation, a small group - not interested in anything except benefits to itself - can hold a balance of power. For the past generation, the ultra-religious parties held that position. Used it to build a state within the state - where they ignore the rest of us except always demanding more money (for their madrasas) & more services from the "apostate" majority. Hopefully, the current crisis will the straw that breaks the camel's back. |
