#10  I would be surprised if this software is not already being used in the big Vegas c*sinos.

#9  I'm curious as to what legal theory allows you to ban software.

Currently, the 5th circuit appellate ruled you can't ban a download of a 3D print gun. We'll see if the state pushes for a full court ruling or goes straight for the supreme court. I would argue software is a free speech issue and can't be banned.

#7  I'm curious as to what legal theory allows you to ban software. Seems rather like banning word processing or point-of-sale systems.

And secondly, how would the city know, unless the company is boasting about it?

#6  The facial recognition ban is to prevent local cops with an extensive intel collection of radical suspects amassed over the years from being shared with feds or local LEOs cross deputised as feds. Without being able to access this data the feds have a more complex time making positive ID and getting background for connectivity charting for Order of Battle development. The enemy is in the city government in depth.

#5  Won't apply to Feds of course.

#4  Can they ban private citizens and companies from software usage to identify criminals? I suspect lawsuits to be filed quickly.

#3  Protestors are all peaceful and shit, so what's the problem eh?

I don't know P2K, Mos Eisley is known for good music.

#2  Facial Recognition is the only reason I embrace wearing a mask.

#1  They're not 'protestors'. They passed that mark a long time ago.

I move they change the city's name to Mos Eisley.
