| #10 Iblis, the logic is that masks stop the large droplets, which are the ones that carry a large viral load, and that being infected by a large viral load rather than a small one means your immune system may not be able to crank up as fast as the virus does, so the infection gets to the severe stage more often. |

Let's set aside for a moment the value of any particular study--especially on a political hot potato topic like this. The holes in a cloth mask are way too big (.4-.5micron) to stop the virus (.12micron). And they certainly don't stop breathing. So what possible mechanism could account for any reduction in viral load? Karma? Even CDC has stated that cloth masks are worthless for stopping ash from the wildfires, and the ash particles are several times larger than the virus. |
