The Coming Crisis In Louisville |
2020-09-23 |
[HotAir] - While it’s impossible to know exactly when, we’re being told to expect a decision from the Louisville, Kentucky grand juring considering the fate of the officers involved in Breonna Taylor’s death. As Matt Vespa pointed out at Townhall, this has everyone in the city on edge. Precautions are being taken, including having every available police officer on standby and boarding up the windows on government buildings. The New York Post reports that a state of emergency has been declared across the city and the municipal government is preparing for the worst. They have reason to believe that things will probably go to you-know-where in a handbasket.

#15 Sorry, technically, concealment. Human shields would provide the cover of sorts. |

#14 2 Officers shot. You mean like, make a rifle look like a section of 2x4? Give me an hour and some veneer tape. Heck, at night, with the flashers and bangers and smoke, confusion, and umbrellas and such providing cover... |

#13 Just like the skateboards they carry and use as a weapon. Whats next, a sign taped to a rifle? |

#12 Ace has a link to a live feed. Just watched a Blamtifa on a bicycle trolling about a police formation/staging point with some stupid sign. PD was not having that shit, stopped him. Well, turns out it wasn't a sign, it was a baseball bat with a cardboard square attached to the end to appear to be a sign. |

#11 Reports National Guard activated; video of HUMVEEs positioning. Video of U-Haul unloading supplies. Note the vehicle is packed first in last out, participants not needing instructions. One has what looks like a gas mask on and those things are not comfortable, merely better than breathing fumes. |

#10 ^ I've felt the same way, going back quite a few years. Not as scary as Newark, but the hair was pretty constantly up on the back of my neck. |

#9 Democrat leftist mayor? Seems to be a prerequisite. Do they have the Soros-backed DA established as well? |

#8 I never felt comfortable on business trips to Louisville. Even the street layouts were awkward. A person I chat with a lot lives there and explained the current dynamics to me. Since mid-term Obama street and Mexican gangs have controlled most of the poorer areas of the town. This implies that no real efforts were made to go after gangs. Now it's a bit hard to do. This person figures you would need to eliminate 7 gangs. |

#6 This should be totally unnecessary in a civilized society. |

#5 Easy to stop -- shoot anyone getting out of line. |

#4 But...but... the protesters are peaceful, right? Why all the fuss? |
