According to investigative documents, Bernstein told the responding officer she is Hispanic and Black. Harris told Bernstein’s attorney, Andrea Sumpter, during a meeting Tuesday that no one planned to file any charges against Bernstein, saying there’s no evidence she colluded with anyone to make a false report and there was no evidence she was involved in any of the destruction during the protest. Harris told Sumpter that Bernstein had clearly suffered injuries to her face and that detectives were interested in whether someone else had hurt her in a different way than she had alleged. Sumpter said she had no alternative information from Bernstein or her family about how she was burned and “acknowledged that there can be many reasons why a victim might not want to be forthcoming about who caused injuries,” Harris wrote. |

| #11 Supposedly 4 white guys in Hawaiian shirts Actually she reported two of the four guys wearing Hawaiian shirts (supposedly some dog-whistle for white supremacy), the other two were dressed in black. Originally thought this might be some false-flag thing, but the more info (what little they release) leads me closer to what Beldar notes. The detectives would have found accelerant splashed somewhere in the vehicle if the event occurred as Ms. Bernstein described. And the timelines are wrong. |

| #10 Heavy.com did a 5 Fast Facts on the young lady: Bernstein as an EMT and is studying to be a firefighter and paramedic. She is studying at Madison College. That essay says she was home-schooled, lived in the Madison area her entire life, liked to travel, and worked at a veterinarian clinic. |
