Infected Sen. Ron Johnson vows to wear ‘moon suit' for vote on Trump's court pick

[NYP] WASHINGTON — Shuttered by COVID-19 infections, the Republican-led Senate is refusing to delay confirmation of President Donald Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court. They are even willing to make special arrangements so sick senators can vote for Judge Amy Coney Barrett, and Democrats appear powerless to stop them.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., said Monday that he’ll go to the Capitol "in a moon suit" to vote if he’s still testing positive for the coronavirus, which has killed more than 209,000 Americans and infected millions.

The push to put conservative Judge Amy Coney Barrett on the high court before Nov. 3 is like nothing seen in U.S. history so close to a presidential election. Trump’s nomination of Barrett in a Rose Garden ceremony apparently became ground zero for the infections now gripping the president, his White House and its Senate allies. Three GOP senators, including Johnson, have now tested positive for the virus and several more are quarantined at home — denying Republicans a functioning majority.

#1  Just wanted to note how the writer slipped in the
209,000 misleading death number.

The CDC has already admitted the number is NOT accurate. It is based on "CLAIMED" numbers by Hospitals, nursing homes, hospices and etc. that receive additional funds for reporting and handling C-19 cases.

EG: a 89 y/o that had c-19 and recovered and died 2 weeks later of a heart attack. Or like the 20 something y/o Motorcycle rider that had it and was killed in an MC vs. Car collision.

The Overall CDC Mortality Rate using this mornings overall figures of: 7,396,730 Infected and 209,199 that Died. Means 2.82~% died IF INFECTED since Jan. 17th.

Using this mornings CDC 's shown data of:
36,778 New Cases out of 342,000,000 US Population.
378 New Deaths. Means the Mortality rate has dropped to less than 1/2 of the initial rates and is now 1.027~% IF INFECTED out 342,000,000

I guess exposing the 5 Liberal-Democrat Governors that were cramming C-19 infected people in Nursing homes and etc... with the already sick and aged helped reduce the Mortality Rate?
