| #3 New York State daily COVID death rate has been steady at about 10 since mid-summer, down from a peak of 1000 in April. Daily cases have inched up from about 800 over the summer to about 1300 (peaked in April at about 10,000.) NY still only shows one significant 'wave' of infection, back in the spring; other states show 2 (e.g. Louisiana) or even 3 now (e.g. Colorado), though death rates have not been nearly has high in the later waves. |
