Is President Trump Going To Fire FBI Director Wray?
2020-10-23
[Hot Air] This WaPo story cites sources claiming that the subject’s already been broached among Trump and his advisors, with Wray potentially on the chopping block after the election.

I’ll go them one better. Given Trump’s growing desperation for a gamechanging October surprise against Biden, I think there’s a small but nonzero chance that he’ll fire Wray *before* the election. It’s perfectly within his character to look at the polls next Monday, see that he’s eight points behind, and to dial up Wray in a panic with an ultimatum. Are you going to announce that you’re opening an investigation into Joe Biden or not? If Wray says no, he’s done right then and there. And then Trump will set about trying to maneuver some crony into the vacancy who *will* announce an investigation into the Bidens for him.

Wray is as honest as the day is long, as are all those hardworking patriotic FBI agents who are super-mad for realz at the coup attempt.

Really!

Just ask Andrew C. McCarthy at NRO!

#8  Why does HotAir continue to let that idiot biased a-hole "AllahPundit" write for them? Throw him over to HuffPo where he belongs. The guy is a nevertrumer, and pretty much leaning more lefty/prog as every day passes. He is no conservative and has no place on a conservative website.

#7  Even if Trump wins in a walk and GOP retains the Senate, you can count on the dems to impeach Trump again if they retain the House and Trump fires Wray. If the GOP picks up the House too, watch GOPe squishes sign on with dems to ask for a special prosecutor over any Wray firing.

#6  Even if Wray is not intentionally going slow... this is the same reason I keep highlighting SpaceX over NASA. SpaceX does more every year spending 1/12 of what NASA does. Why? Simple they are not bureaucrats. They are a business that wants to succeed and make a profit. Same thing in places like where I live and you have private garbage companies in competition compared to big cities with city garbage workers. There is just no comparison. Private is cheaper, better and works harder. To me this implies we really want very small government with almost everything contracted out under performance contracts. Think about it.

#2  I see the WAPO is running it usual Deflective Screen for the ILLEGAL activities of it Liberal - Socialist - Democrat leadership (LSD).

DC Federal Agency Directors and Dept. Mgr's. are playing the POLLS. They know if they pause acting until the AFTER the election and get fired, the LSD's will still ensure their lucrative retirement.
